The Villa was built in the early ’50s in the Rationalist style; it was the architectural style of the late ‘30s and ‘40s, based on the square shape. It is the oldest building of the area, but just completely renewed six years ago. Safe car parking into the premises.
Domus Priscilla is located on the mezzanine, just a few steps from the garden. The owners live upstairs. The lower floors are divided into 3 separate apartments.
The garden surrounding the house is a magic place: it was drawn by a famous Italian landscape architect, Giordano Marracini, who realised the outdoor scenes for the Oscar winning movie “La Grande Bellezza”. It consists of four different areas: the safe parking, the common space with a nice table for your lunches, the Japanese corner with beautiful big Koi carps swimming and a bamboo scenery flat, the lawn where you can relax on beach chairs, cradled by the breeze.
A location on the Appian Way is considered among the coolest in Rome, nowadays.
Domus Priscilla is the perfect apartment for a family. There is a beautiful view on the Roman garden from the windows. It has been renewed and furnished by MLM, an interior designer who has chosen a cool style based on modern furniture, with old details and Roman bronzes. It has even been the set for photo shoots!
Domus Priscilla has four bedrooms:
the master king-size bedroom with a private bathroom
the “Michelangelo” having a double queen-size bed, plus a single bed (and shares a 2 sink bathroom with the "Geisha" bedroom)
the “Geisha” with twin beds
the nanny’s bedroom with its own bathroom
A comfortable sofa-bed in the living room may be a good solution for temporary hosts; a very large kitchen fully provided completes the apartment. Individual heating system and Daikin A/C will ensure a perfect stay to the guests.
*The highlight of the area is the Park of the Appian Way – Parco dell’Appia Antica. A true time machine, at a few minutes from Domus Ipazia, where you can go jogging, or biking, discovering the hidden gems in the countryside, herds of goats and sheep around you.
*The village nearby ( Quarto Miglio) has every facility at walking distance: five restaurants (high quality & low prices), three bars, two supermarkets (24/24), bank, gas station, pharmacy, hardware, etc.
*At six Km only from the Colosseum (the record by car is only 5 minutes without traffic at all ! or 30 minutes jogging ), very close to the G.R.A., to the airports ( Ciampino 7 minutes – Fiumicino 25 minutes without traffic), to the center.
*A bus stop is just in front of the house and the metro station with almost free parking (Arco di Travertino) is at only 6 minutes by car.
